Have a newstip?

send it over

Think you’ve got a story the public should know about? I’d love to hear it.

As an Emmy Award winning journalist and assignment editor, I’m always looking for stories that are timely, impactful, surprising, or uniquely human. Whether it’s breaking news, a community issue, an inspiring person, an event, a consumer concern, or something happening right in your neighborhood, don’t assume someone else has already called. Some of the best stories begin with one person speaking up.

Before You Pitch

The more information you can include, the better. Helpful details include:

  • A clear summary of what’s happening.
  • Why the story matters now.
  • The location and timing.
  • Photos or video, if available.
  • Names and contact information for people involved or willing to be interviewed.
  • Any relevant documents or links that support the story.

A Few Things to Know

Not every story can be covered, and reaching out doesn’t guarantee coverage. Newsrooms weigh many factors including timing, available crews, public interest, and competing news of the day.

If your story isn’t a fit for the current news cycle, don’t be discouraged. I genuinely appreciate every tip that’s shared.
